The fourth and final men’s warrior program for 2020 brought four men together to the cabins at Ripple Creek on August 3rd. These men all came from the Dallas area and consisted of Police, Firefighters, and Military. These men connected around the nightly campfires as conversations went well into the night throughout the week. The week was full of intentional work and hours of seeking what a warrior’s identity in Christ looks like for each of these men. The final campfire of the year brought a beautiful night sky filled with stars and powerful closing to the week with communion. The last one of the year is always bittersweet, but it always gets us pumped up for the next group of warriors who’s lives will never be the same.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, are year ended up looking a little different than we had planned. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several of our 2020 programs (2 spring men’s programs, 2 summer women’s programs, and 1 fall marriage programs) were cancelled. Thankfully, we were still able to provide 4 men’s programs this summer and they were a huge success! We kicked things off with an amazing group of warriors from the Adaptive Training Foundation. Several of these men suffered severe injuries taken during combat. But that didn’t stop these Warriors from giving their all and accomplishing what they set out to do. Each man left it all on the mountain and their lives will never be the same because of it.
We were very excited to be on the XO Marriage tour in Rockford, IL at City First Church. This was our 2nd to last stop on the 2019 tour and were able reach 70 of our warrior couples. We’ll never stop fighting for our military and first responder families. “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

2019 AWA Men's Group 3
AWA was very excited to partner with the Adaptive Training Foundation for our third class of our men’s warrior program. This was the largest class of the season, with twelve warriors arriving in camp on July 22nd. The men proved to themselves and others around them that any task that is deemed impossible can be achieved with a band of brothers. We climbed in rain and sleet to over 11,000 feet with all twelve warriors. The motto of this incredible expedition up the mountain was “only 100 more yards”...
On March 28th we continued the XO Marriage tour in Pittsburgh at Victory Family Church. Absolutely loved the hearts of the patriots in this city! We were able to minister to nearly 100 warrior families with the incredible message of grace, love, forgiveness and restoration. Once again we were able to give away silicone wedding bands and mini marriage bibles. The attack on our military and first responder marriages is something that we don’t take lightly. We will never stop fighting for the ones we love!

2020 AWA Men's Group 3
Our 3rd group of the year was another amazing program. This group of men all came from Northern California through our connection at Bethel Church in Redding. This was a mixed group of military, veterans, and first responders who all came with the a desire to go deeper. So, that’s exactly what we did. Through our teachings and breakout discussions, these men were able to confront the wounds they’ve taken throughout life’s battles and truly surrender them to God. The brotherhood that was formed throughout this week is one that will not easily be broken.
On Saturday, January 4th, The American Warrior Association was able to participate at the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, TX. It was also called “The Bowl for the Brave” and the turnout to support our great nation’s military was incredible. Not only was it a great game between Southern Miss and Tulane, we also had the opportunity to spread the message to thousands of people. Loved working next to all of the other amazing organizations out there supporting the Warrior-Class!
The American Warrior Association partnered again with Marriage Today at their XO Marriage Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Spreading the message of, “Fight for the one you love” and “Fight for your Family” while supporting the marriages of our nation’s selfless servants is a meaningful part AWA’s mission. As our Executive Director said, “A family can survive without a country... but no country can survive without the family. The family is the cornerstone of America’s foundation and strength. So fight for the ones you love!” For those who are struggling... stay the course... there is hope. Let God take the lead and you will be okay.

2019 AWA Men's Group 1
With winter still showing its presence in the mountains, the American Warrior Association welcomed five men as the first men’s warrior class on June 24, 2019. Many of the roads were closed from the year’s vast amount of snowfall along with many of the trails. This made for a fantastic experience as the group pretty much had the entire surrounding forest and wilderness areas to themselves. The fishing was slow that week, but the views from the hiking and the horseback expeditions were incredible with the snow-capped peaks on the horizon...
Our 2nd class began on July 15th and brought men from different parts of the country to our men’s warrior program. With this class, the remote setting became a place of in-depth and purposeful conversations among the men and our staff here at AWA. The snow had disappeared in the high country, allowing the class to explore many miles into the wilderness area. The only thing that kept the group from exploring farther into the unknown was the promise of large pork chops awaiting our arrival back in camp come supper time...
Ex Navy Seal Fights for Philly Boys and Girls Club
American Warrior Association Tier-1 scholarship recipient and former Navy SEAL, Marek Malik, fought in the traditional Penn Fight Night, raising proceeds for the Boys and Girls club of Philadelphia. Malik attends the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He made the American Warrior Association proud by giving back to his community through his participation in the charitable event which raised thousands of dollars to help underprivileged youth.
Our 2nd group of 2020 began on July 13th and brought men from different parts of the country to our men’s warrior program. With this class, the remote setting became a place of in-depth and purposeful conversations among the men and our staff here at AWA. The weather was absolutely perfect this week in the high country, allowing the group to explore for miles into the wilderness area. We traveled by horseback six miles to a beautiful lake where the fish were plentiful, then we hiked up to 11,000 feet and dove deep into the teachings. At the top pf the mountain, 2 men gave their live to Christ and were baptized in Oyster Lake! The impact from this week is going to last a lifetime!
Fall of 2019 the American Warrior Association launched their first AWA Women’s Retreat. This group of 16 warriors was made up of military, veterans, first responders, and military spouses. Along with our incredible volunteers and teaching team, these women were able to experience some of the most beautiful creation at Vista Verde Ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Through hiking, horseback riding, exploring nature, all while hearing the refreshing word of grace, forgiveness and purpose, each of these women had life changing encounters.

2019 AWA Men's Group 4
The fourth and final men’s warrior program for 2019 brought four men together to the cabins at Ripple Creek on July 29th. These men connected around the nightly campfires as conversations went well into the night throughout the week. This week was the best week of fishing as over two dozen fish were caught after our horse ride to a remote lake. These fish made for a delicious meal cooked over a fire overlooking the pristine water. The week was full of intentional worship and hours of seeking what a warrior’s identity in Christ looks like for each of these men...
The American Warrior Association hosted its first series of four Men's Programs this Summer at the Ripple Creek Lodge in Colorado. Our warriors engaged in teaching sessions, prayer and meditation, guided horseback riding, and self-reflection. There is no better place to heal and observe the glory of our Creator than in nature. The veterans and first responders who took part in the program rediscovered their inner fire and the purpose which life's trials forged in them. The entire experience exceeded expectations and the American Warrior Association is excited to host many many more Men's Programs in the future!
We made it from Pittsburgh to Houston for the third stop on the XO Marriage tour. This conference was held at Grace Church in Houston, TX and we could not be more pleased with the turnout! It’s such an honor to partner with this ministry and with Grace Church to impact the lives of our warriors in Texas. We received our first challenge coin of the tour from a Fire Chief in Pearland, TX. We love the heart of this church and this city! One Nation. One Fight!

2019 XO Marriage Tour - San Diego, CA
We’re so honored to be partnering with XO Marriage and kicking it off at the XO Conference at Rock Church in San Diego. We launched our campaign, “Fight For The One You Love” and had the opportunity to reach nearly 300 military, veteran, and first responder couples. We were able to give away silicone wedding bands and mini marriage devotionals to all of our warriors. This was an incredible start to 2019!
